Automotive Cybersecurity Analyst
The field of automotive cybersecurity is rapidly evolving as vehicles become increasingly connected and reliant on digital technologies. This position delves into the realm of automotive cybersecurity, focusing on developing advanced security systems to protect vehicles from cyber threats and ensure the safety and integrity of their electronic components.
Objectives:
- Identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Gain a deep understanding of potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities in automotive systems, especially electronic control units (ECUs), in-vehicle networks, communication protocols (e.g.: CAN, automotive ethernet, etc) and inter-processor/microcontroller communication.
- Perform threat and risk analysis (TARA) considering the following standards/regulations: ECE R155, ISO 21434
- Evaluate security measures. Investigate and assess various security measures, and analyse the effectiveness, efficiency and practicality of different security solutions.
- Develop robust cybersecurity models, by utilizing cutting-edge techniques in cybersecurity, and in cryptography to create models that can anticipate and mitigate potential cyber threats. Consider factors such as emerging attack patterns, system usage, system accessibility and any potential cybersecurity risks.
- Work closely with experts in automotive engineering, hardware and software developments, and automotive safety. Collaborate with professionals specializing in cybersecurity to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats.
- Document the results of the analysis and developed cybersecurity models, and present evaluation results. Effectively communicate recommendations for enhancing the understanding of the cybersecurity concept within the team.
In this role as an automotive cybersecurity analyst trainee, you will contribute to the development of automotive cybersecurity systems, ensuring the resilience of vehicles against cyber threats and take part in the development of state-of-the-art commercial vehicle technologies, ensuring data integrity and user safety.
